Editorial Standards: Our Commitment to Truth

In an era of rapid information, The Immigrant News maintains the highest standards of journalistic integrity. We follow a strict “Fact-First” protocol for every article published.

1. Primary Source Verification We do not report on rumors. Every policy update is verified against official government documentation—such as the U.S. Federal Register, Home Office Statements of Changes, or IRCC Policy Memorandums—before it reaches your screen.

2. The 2026 “Tech-Check” With the rise of AI-generated content, we maintain a human-in-the-loop policy. While we use technology to monitor border changes, every article is reviewed, edited, and fact-checked by a human editor to ensure nuance and cultural context.

3. Non-Partisanship Immigration is often a political lightning rod. Our role is not to take sides, but to report the impact of legislation on individual lives. We provide objective analysis of both restrictive and liberalizing policies without bias.

4. Correction & Update Policy Immigration law moves fast. When a policy changes, we update our “Evergreen” guides immediately. If a factual error is made in a news report, we issue a clear “Correction” notice at the top of the article to maintain transparency with our readers.

5. Independence Our contributors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest. If an article is written by a practicing attorney, it is clearly labeled as “Contributor Content” to distinguish it from our independent news reporting.
